Tact:

Doing and especially saying the right thing is what is meant by tact. It embraces courtesy, but goes much further. It's the Golden Rule, being considerate of others. Treat others as you expect to be treated.

A tactful leader is fair, firm, and friendly. You respect another person's property. Learn to respect their feelings as well. Remember to always praise in public and reprimand in private. There are times when a severe reprimand is required to a group or an individual. Be tactful and do this at the right time and in the right place. Do not make a spectacle of them or yourself in public.
